The Final Ingredient to a Night of Romance

You’ve dimmed the lights. You’ve lit candles. You’ve dressed yourself in stylish but comfortable clothing, bought flowers and set out that special bottle of wine. It’s just you and your significant other tonight, and you’re ready for romance.

But what should you serve? How fancy should your dishes and ingredients be? How exotic should you make your meal, and how much time should you spend preparing it?

Tom Wachter, a chef in Orlando, FL with more than 25 years of professional culinary experience, says the secret to a successful romantic meal is keeping it simple yet sophisticated. Wachter and his business partner, professional violinist Craig Hunting, specialize in creating romantic dinners in people’s homes, during which Wachter prepares gourmet meals in their kitchen while Bunting performs tableside – the ultimate personalized romantic event, if you think about it.

When asked by clients what makes a successful romantic meal, Wachter always tells them the same thing: Make the evening easy and elegant. Dishes and décor should wow that special someone, but they shouldn’t be so intensive to take you away from the dining table.
