A Mix of Old West Adventure and Cosmopolitan Style

In the Valley of the Sun – locals simply call it “The Valley” – the sun actually shines at about 325 days a year. Amid the Sonoran Desert, the greater Phoenix area covers 2,000 square miles, where cacti and stunning mountain peaks share the landscape with a myriad of lavish resorts, lush golf courses with spectacular scenery, professional sports venues, culture-rich museums and a pulsating nightlife scene.

A desert cowtown Phoenix is not.

More than a decade has passed since the nation’s fifth largest city, where 3.4 million residents in the metropolitan area treasure a mix of the Old West and the cosmopolitan lifestyle, hosted a Super Bowl. In 1996, Dallas defeated Pittsburgh, 27-17 in Super Bowl XXX at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.
